In Need of Something to Read?

It is still the holiday season, which means there is plenty of time to pick up a novel, open a bottle of wine and relax for the evening.

For some reading suggestions, I found a great list made by BAILEYS Women’s Prize for  Fiction.

The Women’s Prize (BWPFF) is a fantastic list of the best full length fiction written by women. The awards are given out by a panel of judges. Five women create the panel and a new panel is chosen every year.

The winner of the 2013 BWPFF is:

BWPFF has released a short list, as well as a long list of novels chosen.

If you’re interested in beautifully illustrated stories, then look no further than Kay Nielsen’s Scandinavian folk tales illustrations in “East of the Sun and West of the Moon.

This requires minimal reading and full enjoyment of wonderful illustrations.

These are just a few suggestions and I hope that at least one of them has caught your eye. Is there anything that you would suggest to read?
