Blogging is rough when looking for jobs and babysitting an 8-month-old niece.
First of all, I want to say thank you to all of my new followers and all of the new readers. To apologize for my lack of new posts, I thought it would be nice to throw together a list of fantastic websites that I spend a lot of time on.
Love looking at vintage or retro photos? Check out Retronaut!
This website always has crazy and interesting photos. On the website, you’re able to break things down into era, category or clusters. The photo categories are incredibly random.
Are you a fan of Buzzfeed’s list and random articles? Then check out Refinery29 for a more put-together version.
This website has fantastic lists about fashion, beauty, living, news, anything local and shopping. A list that they put together that I thought was pretty interesting was “14 Incredible Feminists You’ve Never Heard Of.”
The next website is an overall win. The categories from Julip Made vary from party planning, DIY, cocktails, style, recipes, beauty, decor, color and style.
Julip Made has given me ideas for cocktails and parties many times. One cocktail that I made not too long ago was a total success! Green Tea Palmer was something that I normally wouldn’t have tried. But the pictures had me hooked.
Domestic Sluttery has been a favorite of mine since a friend from England introduced me to it ages ago. She has the book and it’s definitely a must buy! She also made the Cosmopolitan cake for my birthday and it was divine.
I recently found a cocktail on the website that I am very excited to try: The Caged Peach and Mint Julep. I haven’t tried this one yet, so I can’t say how it is, but if the other recipes and cocktails I’ve tried are anything to go on, it will be great.
Besides food and cocktails (they have loads of gluten free recipes as well), the website covers travel, style and design.
Example of their great taste taken from a recent post:
So next time you’re bored and are looking for some time-wasting goodness, check out some of these websites.
